of the Year awards. He is just three years old and owned and ridden by Marcia Beard. |

Helen Moreland from
Racing Victoria was present to present the garland and top ten medallions in the Newcomer
Hack ring. It was great to see the interest and involvement of Racing Victoria. Helen has made a big impact in her relatively short time in the job - well done Helen. |

A 'must' at big
occasions is a good announcer/MC. There is non better than Graeme Barker (son of the legendary Olympian Ern Barker) - for me he really makes the event come alive. |

My favourite
performance for the 2002 Barastoc Horse of the Year event was that of Jessica McMahon and
her lovely new horse Saturday Night. They won the Champion Newcomer Hack and this horse has truly outstanding movement - well done Jessica. |
