Barastoc
Horse of the Year Show |
February 15. 16 & 17 2002
Werribee Park Equestrian Centre -
Parade of Champions - Page 19 |
|
I was not able to take pictures in the Small Pony of the Year
Class, but I was keen to make a special place in my report for the winner - Stanton Park
Rave Review. He is one of my very favourite ponies. I also followed the career
of his mum - Tanygoes Pirates.
Annie Coxon who imported
Tanygoes Pirates, was here at Barastoc Horse of the Year as Judge of the Shetland
Pony classes.
Congratulations Annie on your
success You are a person with the vision to know what to buy ... and the
talent to get the best result from your ponies - it was a pleasure meeting you. |
 |
Stanton Park Rave Review has
very 'blue blood' indeed as he is from the outstanding imported pony Tanygoes Pirates who
was shown with legendary success by Annie Coxon. |
 |
Barastoc Horse of the Year
Champions - 2002. Lemrac's
Dancing Poet.
Neenah's Serenade
Rhyl Matinee
Stanton Park Rave Review
Glendoman Gizmo.
Congratulations to all the Champions. |
 |
The 4 Barastoc Horse
of the Year Judges - Champions in their own right - Miss Bernadette Murray from Tasmania, Mr. Greg Smith from
Queensland, Miss Debbie Peach from South Australia and Mr. John Paget from NSW.
They did a great job and gave every horse and
rider the chance to do their best |
 |
The Parade of
Champions was an exciting time in the Barastoc program. It was almost impossible to take pictures and get all
the names down perfectly - I missed some of the details but I hope that my images help you
to share the fun. |
 |
Isn't he lovely |
 |
Also a CHAMPION ...
is Steve Peters from Peppercorn Park who was one of the 'red coats' who worked tirelessly
over the three days to ensure that no one came to harm and that the flighty showhorses had
a soothing influence. Well done
guys! |
 |
Murray Wheatley -
another of the 'red coats' that deserves an honourable mention for a great job. The unpaid, unsung heroes of the big events where
flightly horses may take fright and put people and the fun at risk. |
 |
Coldstream Zulu
outstanding Arabian Warmblood and Champion in the Performance Horse ring. |
 |
Champion Ridden
Arabian - stallion Killibinbin Jian. He
is owned by S Baljeu. |
