February 15. 16 & 17 2002
Werribee Park Equestrian Centre -
Barastoc Galloway of the Year - Page 13
Galloways are such a great size - they are not too bit or tall and
yet have all the elegance and moovement of the big horses. It is such a pity that
this size is not the fashion for Dressage as it would be my choice.
Whenever you see the name
Shelley Penny after a horse's name, you know that it is in the class with a good chance of
winning.
In Town Tonight was first to go
of the final ten and true to form put in a foot perfect workout for Shelley.
Janlyn Three Wishes
was ridden by owner Louise Doyle.
Janlyn Three Wishes.
Like all of the top ten, it was a very polished workout and hard to fault in any
way.
Fable of Beckworth
ridden by owner Ann Smiley
Fable of Beckworth -
a quality Galloway with beautiful markings.
Shining - ridden by
Paul Burslem - he is also a part owner in this lovely Galloway.
Shining - a quality
Galloway and I am sure the owners would have been delighted with a top ten finish in such
a strong field of quality horses.
