February 15. 16 & 17 2002
Werribee Park Equestrian Centre -
Barastoc Galloway of the Year - Page 15
One of the best moving galloways
on the show circuit is Silkwood Slipstream - he is ridden by Sarah Lindeman.
Sarah is a beautiful rider and
always shows her horse well, but he lacked the elasticity that I have seen on previous
occasions.
Eleda Park Yeoman
would have entered the ring as one of the 'hot favourites' to win - for he has taken the
blue at many of the most prestigious events for the past show season.
Sally Watkins rode
well and I only saw one little loss of concentration in their polished performance - but
this must have been enough to influence the judge.
Neenah's Serenade is
called forward as the winner of the class.
What a thrill for the Librio family who bred the horse.
Neenah's Serenade
and Jacqui Librio - their workout was absolutely perfect and the judge rewarded the
harmony and softness.
The Barastoc
Galloway of the Year judge was Mr John Paget from NSW - here he explains to the MC Graeme
Barker what he was looking for.
