No. 5 was Remi Prince Charming, a 2 month old
chestnut colt by Prince Noir from Elite Mare Remi Abracadabra (Anamour
(imp)/Remi Waltzing Matilda by Walt Disney (Ger) - owned by Cheryl O'Brien.
Hans' comments: "We need good thoroughbred
influence for warmblood breeding. The colt has a top walk and canter and is
built uphill. He has a beautiful head, a good shoulder which could be
perhaps a bit longer but this foal will make a very good dressage horse."
Hans congratulated Cheryl for "putting the right stallion over the right
mare."
No. 6 was Promise, a 3 month old black/brown
filly by Prince Noir (imp)from UQ Winter Waltz (Winterkoenig (imp)/Mid Life
Crisis xx) Owned by Tracey Zabell.
Hans' comments: "This foal has good colour,
long legs and uphill construction. She is soft in the back which will make
her comfortable to sit on for dressage. I really like this foal's true
4-beat walk."
No. 7 presented was Remi Westminster, a 3 1/2
month old chestnut colt by Weltmeyer (Ger) from Elite Mare Remi London Belle
(Londonderry (Ger)/Remi Galliano by Graf Landau) - in foal with a recipient
carrying an ET foal by Fishermans Friend (imp) Owned by Cheryl O'Brien.
Hans' comments: "Londonderry is very popular
in Germany and we've had a lot of success with him. This is a big foal and a
real stallion prospect. He has a beautiful face, good shoulder and loose
gaits. This foal moves very well."
Hans turned to the audience and told us he
prefers to have a horse longer in the back than shorter as it allows them to
swing through the back more. He commented that he has a half brother to this
mare in his barn by the name of "London Swing" a licensed stallion whom he
has had great success with. He was very impressed with this mare and her
well-bred Weltmeyer colt and whoever ends up buying this superb colt will
indeed have a potential champion on their hands.
No. 8 was Dalwin Poet, a 2 month old brown
colt by Prince Noir (imp) from Dalwin Aloof (Anamour (imp)/Looking Cool xx).
In foal to Wyndemere (imp) Owned by Stephanie Rutherford.
Hans' comments: "I like this foal very much.
He presents a very pretty overall impression but it's difficult to see the
saddle position at the moment. He has good hindquarters and good loose and
elastic gaits. Of course having four white socks would make him very popular
and saleable."
"I am very happy with what I've seen here so
far in regards to quality and the average level is very high. You are in the
right direction for producing performance horses." says Hans.
