Young Dressage Horse Qualifier
& Official EFA Dressage Competition
National Equestrian Centre, Werribee Park.
24th August 2002 - Open Dressage - Part 1 - Page 8
It was a perfect day for dressage, and the open EFA
program proved to be very popular. I got the feeling that many horses were having a
first start. In the higher classes - horses were having a first attempt at the
standard above last season, so these competitors would have appreciated the relaxed
atmosphere and perfect conditions.
The tests went from Preliminary
to Medium with a few of the test conducted indoors after the first round of the Young
Dressage competition had finished.
Pictured right is Rosemary
Dalton the Secretary of ISSA. Rosemary is herself a very experienced dressage
competitor and A level judge. Her depth of knowledge was a great asset in seeing the
day run so well. Congratulations must go to all of the ISSA committee - as it was a
great team effort.
Jeanette Hearn is one of those people who are usually at the
dressage helping others to enjoy their day. - it was great to see her riding her mare
Mille Fleur in the Preliminary 1B
Ashbrook Meccano had a very busy time at this show ... He took part
in the Colt Assessment, Young Horses classes the Preliminary Dressage and the ISSA
Stallion Parade. Andrea Williams travelled from NSW to be part of the action.
