Last to work out for the coveted award of
VASA Champion Saddle Horse is
Sunday Morning and Jessica McMahon. |
|
Sunday Morning did not look to be
100% happy (but I am sure the weather could be responsible for this) and the work lacked
the polish of some. |
|
There were no real mistakes, but
a bit more flair would have made more of an impact. Jessica
would have been very please with her achievements today as she was the Champion Rider
18-21 years.

|
The top ten VASA hacks wait in
line
- who will be the Champion ??? |
|
Judge Edwina Beckingham
congratulates the Reserve Champion - Lemrac's Dancing Poet. Congratulations Gary and Brian. |
|
At this level the competitors are
the first to acknowledge a job well done. Gary Beaton is the first to offer his
sincere congratulations to Maree Tomkinson and Erte as they are called forward to accept
the Championship sash. Erte also won this event
last year. |
|
Erte and Maree Tomkinson look a
picture in the beautiful garland of flowers. Erte
will take part at the Sydney Easter Royal Show after which he will be retired to eat grass
and catch the occasional cow. |
|
Erte's proud but rather camera
shy owner - Geraldine de Malet. Geraldine was
so very proud of Erte and acknowledged the wonderful job that Maree Tomkinson has done
with the horse. |
|
The VASA Master of Ceremonies
Graham Barker chats with Judge Edwina Beckingham who commented on the quality of the final
ten at this years event. |
