2007 Queensland Festival of Dressage
Ridden Stallion Display
Report by Tracy Mayhew, Qld Cyberhorse Rep Owing to the generosity of the following Studs, stallion service tenders were up for grabis via a Silent Auction. This was a great opportunity to get a service from a competitive performance stallion. Aachimedes - Jaybee Farm
Bay 16.2hh Aachen (Argentinus) / Domedin (Domherr) Aachimedes has sired a number of successful dressage horses such as Jaybee Acrobat, Jaybee Applause, Abracadabra, A'Seduction, and Jaybee Assasin, to name a few. Today he was represented by Jaybee Anzac and owner/rider, Nicole Magoffin. Nicole did stud principals, John and Bev Edwards proud by presenting 'Zac' in peak condition and putting on a display that would have won many new fans of this successful combination. Nicole and Zac have been long listed for the New Zealand team for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. She finished off her display by showing an extravagent one-handed extended trot down the centreline and out the arena without the horse batting an eyelid or breaking rhythm - truly a temperament to die for, and one for which Aachimedes is know to pass onto his progeny. Nicole also very generously offered an hour's lesson on Zac as a lot for the Silent Auction; there's not many successful FEI campaigners that you could put 'just anyone' on! Nicole Magoffin and Jaybee Anzac put on a marvellous display
Black 16hh Rotspon (Rubinstein) / FW Marianne (Falkland/Daktylus/Monopol) Very capably presented today by owner Amy Zeller, some of Rotstein's achievements include 2004 Qld 4-year old Young Horse Champion, 2204 AQld Preliminary State Champion, Top 5 placegetter in the 4-year old Young Horse class at the 2004 Australian Dressage Championships and Preliminary Reserve Champion at the 2004 South East Qld Championships. Rotstein is now competing at Elementary level with great success so far, achieving scores from 66-71%. He has an amazing temperament, outstanding rideability and great training ethic. His first crop of foals, born in 2005, strikingly resemble their father's temperament, movement and looks. HP Lothar - Danielle Campbell Grey 17hh Lander / Diana (Monopol) Lothar is graded medium competing advanced and training FEI with a flare for passage - all this at only 7-years old! He has a totally unflappable nature with ability to burn. 'Lottie', as he is affectionaly known, has numerous placing to his credit and was named High Point Holsteiner for 2006. Currently jumping 1.40m, he also competed and won his first One Day Event at the Kooralbyn CIC in July 2007 with Melissa Van Den Berge on board (with a dressage score of 89%). So whether you are looking to breed your next dressage, eventing or show jumping superstar, look no further than this very talented and versatile young stallion. Standing only to a select and limited number of outside mares this season, they offer live foal guarantee. Live cover and chilled semen. Olando (Imp) - Arian Nijhuis Bay 17hh Imported Dutch Warmblood Farrington / Jolanda Olando was imported to Australia in 2004 and is competing successful throughout Queensland and Australia at Prix St George and Inter 1. He will enter into the large tour (Inter 11 and Grand Prix) towards the end of this year. He has sired a number of beautiful foals, all showing their father's temperament, trainability and movement. The final stallion to be presented was Fishermans Friend (Imp) - RR Stud, expertly ridden by Tor Van Den Berge. Brown 169cm Hanoverian Fabriano / Pik Solo by Pik Bube Performances include 2006 Australian Medium Dressage Champion, 2006 NSW Medium Dressage Champion, 2007 Toowoomba CDI Medium Dressage Champion, 2007 Great SE Qld Advanced Champion and 'Fish' is the sire of the 2006 and 2007 Hanoverian Champion Foals.
