Showjumping and Presentation
CIC-W
World Cup Qualifier
Unfortunately the lighting and speed of
the action made good pics of the showjumping very difficult.
It was a big course and with limited space the horses had to be absolutely with the
rider and prepared to listen to instruction. Many of the horses seemed to rush and
'take over' which limited their chances. Some horses touched every jump with some
gut wrenching banging and crashing to attest to the demands of this tight track.
Fortunately there were no injuries - except perhaps to the rider's hearts - of which some
were broken.
Deo Juvante and Christopher Burton boldly over
Eliza Jane and Pongsiree Bunluewong
a weak dressage performance was overturned by a fantastic CC and Showjumping rounds
which gave them 5th placing overall - very well done!
Director of Marcus Oldham College and Veterinarian Nick Roe was
6th after the dressage, 3rd after cross country and the time spent thinking about his
showjumping round paid off as they won the event with an excellent SJ round
Interloper and Luke Jones - what a leap
Megan Jones on Kirby Park Irish Hallmark- he is almost 18 hands high and looks evety bit
of that as he leaps over this jump - they weakened in their SJ round and ended on fourth -
which was disappointing after winning in the Dressage phase.
Iz'bella Roselini and Kadi Eykamp
at fence number 1.
They were 3rd after Dressage.
Makinground and Blair Richardson - this great horse is owned by Blair's wife - I wonder if
she will get him back???
Sammi McLeod and Black Odyssy - winners of the CCI** that is her dad Lynden on the left, accepting the owners prize for Jenny
Walker. Sammi is congratlulated by Bill Roycroft and the head of the ground
jury Jean Mitchell from Ireland.
Tim Boland on Limitless - what a great results to have two horses pull up 1st and
2nd. in a three star event - congratulations Tim and your wonderful horses Limitless and
Kildonan Tug.
Russ Withers congratulates Tim Boland and Limitless for their win in the CIC ***.
Nick Roe and the 2nd placegetter Michael Baker on GS Chevalier - Michael did a fantastic
job to improve their position after the dressage - a great effort.
Michael Baker next to the 3rd placegetter Wendy Schaeffer on Sun Shades. It was
quite an eventful 4 days for Wendy. Starting with a fantastic Dressage results to
elimination at Jump 12 in the XC, and being reinstated after winning a protest - to a
disappointing showjumping round which chiiped away at their position
It is a long way up for Wayne Roycroft to congratulate Megan Jones on Kirby Park Isish
Hallmark. They finished 4th which would have ben a little disappointing as they were
in the led after the dresage. Hallmark seemed to find the SJ course a little tight
and had a problematic round.
But still ... 4th at this level is a wonderful effort.
