Showjumping and Presentation
CIC-W
World Cup Qualifier
Unfortunately the lighting and speed of
the action made good pics of the showjumping very difficult.
It was a big course and with limited space the horses had to be absolutely with the
rider and prepared to ligten to instruction. Many of the horses seemed to rush and
'take over' which limited their chances. Some horses touched every jump with some
gut wrenching banging and crashing to attest to the demands of this tight track.
Fortunatly there were no injuries - except perhaps to the rider's hearts - of which some
were broken.
The Event Director Geoff Sinclair -
he would be very proud of how the event
has 'come together'.
The EFA were well represented with
this colourful jump
The Ground Jury for the event
Gill Rolton, Jean Mitchell from Ireland and Barry Roycroft has a very demanding job
for four very busy and long days.
Russ Withers and Jill Sinclair enjoy the action. Russ did a great job with
his expert commentary.
The Rick Wolany Toyota - part of the interestion course decoration.
The International atmosphere
Heath Ryan walks the Course
In his wonderfully flamboyant style, Heath Ryan explains the
course to the interested crowd.
This was a great way to inform the spectators of the challenges facing the riders &
horses.
The riders walk the course.
The riders walk the course. Counting out the step on this tight track to ensure
that they give their horse the best chance of a clear round.
Wayne Roycroft and Wendy Schaeffer discuss some of the issues involved in this
David Sheppard designed course. A good clear round could see her and Sun Shades
wining this prestigious event.
Pongsiree Bunluewong prepared for his showjumping ride on Eliza Jane -
his good preparation enable his to put in a fantastic round and come ight up the
placings.
Mike Sullivan - the Chariman of the Event Committee.
He prepresents the many scored of people who have worked very hard to ensure that
this event has the 'manpower' and funding to make it happen.
Well done to all of them.
