More of the
Advanced 5F. |
 |
Maree Tomkinson and her lovely,
tall and leggy Warmblood Kings Warrier. He is by Sagamore Mamiro who stood at stud
in Perth, and from the mare Benny's Gift. Pictured left is a beautifully balanced shoulder in ... with perhaps a
little too much neck bend, for a really top mark. |
 |
Kings Warrier is a long scopey
horse and if Maree does not keep him together he can easily appear a little hollow.
His education is improving and a little more development of collection is sure to produce
a more compact frame. There were no mistakes but the judges would be looking to see
more collection. A percentage of 57.57 for 19th position. |

Kings Warrier and Maree
Tomkinson from Victoria. |
 |
Northern Ajax and Heather Gee -
another Victorian combination. Ajax is a lovely horse and Heather enjoys his
generous, trainable nature. She
rode a careful test that was free of any serious faults, but I noticed that the tests with
the high scores were very, very forward. |
 |
Heather Gee is sure to go home
and think about what is needed to give this lovely horse every opportunity to shine. He has some impressive performances behind him, but as
many people found at the Nationals, the good horses and riders are setting new standards
... and to keep up, all riders need to go for it, and take a few risks. |
 |
Heather Gee and the delightful
Northern Ajax. He is by Falkland Victory from Northern Carmen. |
 |
Rodney Martin rode a fantastic
test on Victorian horse Belcam Aarchon (Ullie) who is owned by Emmie Schmul. Aarchon was bred at Belcam in Queensland and is by
Aachen from the Falkland mare Fama.
It was a precise test with the activity and
energy, that these judges were looking to see. |
 |
Emmie and Belcam Aarchon have
risen to stardom in the past twelve months, with some very impressive performances
to qualify them for the Nationals. Aarchon
flew the flag for Victorian horses, and showed that we have riders who can train for
success. |
 |
Emmie was very disappointed that
business matters kept her and husband Jim from being part of this event ... Rodney stepped
in and took the ride on Ullie, and it could not have been a better result. Congratulations to Emmie for the training of the
horse, and Rodney for a fantastic ride! |
