Update - Day 11 at 'Morgan Park Town', Warwick Quarantine

Nicole with new mum, Glencoe Catwalk ('Kit')

Day 11 - I had the weekend at home and what a weekend it was! My mare, Glencoe Catwalk ('Kit'), had a beautiful filly foal, by Leadburn Rotstein; on the first day of spring! She is divine, and I am hopelessly biased and we called her Roxi. My son played a rugby union semi-final against the undefeated (for 3 seasons!) Beaudesert team and WON 6-5 and are through to the grand final! Go the BULLS!!!

Anyway - back in Warwick shutdown to some HEADLINING NEWS!! Yesterday marked 100% infection and so begun our 30 day countdown!! We have a new way of counting - 29 Days To Go!!

Milo and Zac are still unwell with peaking temperatures, yucky noses, joint pain, and the dry, "whooping" cough. Milo's cough is little better today, but Zac's is worse. This is definitely Kyla's horse, Amy's, worst day, with high respiratory and heart rates, high fever, and off feed. She needed "the works" from the vet this morning!

"Morgan Park Town" as my partner in crime, Nicole M. calls it (and now everyone does!) is thriving. We think we should get the "tidy town" award!

Sandra Oppermann has organised Movie Night and Seminar night, for which I am starting up tomorrow night. There are first aid and EFA orientation courses starting up, as well as many other activities to prevent hundreds of minds from going stir crazy.

The day yards keep coming in and these give the horses a few hours of relative freedom. Milo takes this opportunity to stretch his legs and fight with any horse who even looks at Zac! If he could talk, he would be saying - "This is my friend, so keep your eyes to yourself!"

Hope everyone out there is keeping their horses on their properties and doing their bit to keep this virus contained! Best wishes to Andrew and Steffi Stevens and Denise Rogan at Centennial Park whose horses are unwell with this horrible Northern Hemisphere virus!!
