Above:  Australia's Sammi McLeod (on Frederick Hunter) averted disaster with her quick thinking and positive riding when they had a hesitation as the base of the steep approach from Jump 11.  They looked to be planning to keep to their left and off the churned up surface and down over the slow option at 12.
Frederick Hunter seemed to be confused by the directions and ran out and up the bank - thankfully avoiding the many people who sat with their legs under the fence and on the grass.  It all happened very quickly, but Sammi kept her cool and managed to get around this troublesome and challenging complex.
