Venue

The 1999 National Championships will be held at the newly completed Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC), Wallgrove Road, Horsley Park.

SIEC is located west of Sydney just off the M4 Freeway (heading towards the Blue Mountains). Wallgrove Road is a major crossroad and easy to find coming from the City or from other locations. It is approximately 20 minutes from Penrith; 20/30 minutes from Liverpool; 20 minutes from Parramatta and around 1hour from the City of Sydney.

For the event, three to four outdoor competition arenas will be used (one will be located in the main stadium.) There will be at least 3 other sand warm-up arenas available as well as the use of grassed arenas. There will be no shortage of top riding surfaces. The indoor arena may be used for certain classes as well as for the Saturday Evening Indoor Arena Debut, featuring the StableMaster Intermediate Freestyle and the Maxx Implementation Grand Prix Freestyle (Kür) which will be a World Cup Qualifier.
A special VIP dinner is planned during the evening in the VIP viewing area.

Facilities on site

Competitors will be able to camp at the site. There is plenty of power outlets, shower & toilet facilities, truck parking and space for caravan hire etc.

Stabling All horses must be stabled. Plenty of stables will be available (over 200). Riders will have to put their horses in stables rather than tying up to trucks & floats. The stable area is magnificent and will please any fussy dressage horse owner. Riders/groups may be able to hire an additional box for the storage of feed and tack.

Use of certain warm-up arenas and round yards will be available for interstate riders who arrive a few days before the event.

Dogs – S.I.E.C. is located within a Regional Park under the control of the National parks and Wildlife Service, and dogs are strictly prohibited.
