The Intermediate 1
continues in the order of the draw. |
 |
I've Got Rhythm and Anne
Behringer. This is a very elegant NZ Thoroughbred by Kongs Island from Superior
Wine. Some of the
lateral work lacked softness and flow which would have been costly - they scored 56.56%
for 14th place. |
 |
Fourwinds Wilderness and Vicky
Conroy from NSW were next in this class - He is by Winterkonig (imp) from Fourwinds Faba. The test did not really produce any real highlights
- which is what is needed to draw marks from these demanding judges, and there were
some errors which would have been costly. |
 |
Fourwinds Wilderness and Vicky
Conroy scored 50.50% |
 |
Lamar is such a beautiful horse
- I am a real softy for four white socks ... he is by Ludendorf from Music. Rider/owner Janet Dillon-Smith did a good job and came
9th - just behind Richmeed Medallion. They scored 57.60% |
 |
Innamincka and Bim Conibear from
NSW - Warmblood/Thoroughbred cross by Grande Design from Cointreau Lass. There were some lovely moments in this test and room
for great improvement. There obviously some problems which have been reflected in
the score.
It looked very nice to me, but Bim Conibear
was not 100% happy with the test so the judges no doubt saw what she felt.
They scored 54.05% for 15th place.

Young Queensland rider Karen
Bell had a great competition on her lovely Aachen horse Glencoe Aathens. He is out
of the Monopol mare Mona Lisa. They
are here preparing to enter for their Intermediae 1 ride. |
 |
Glencoe Aathens is seen here in
a nicely placed trot half pass - the work for this combination was solid, and shows
that Karen has a great future in the sport. They placed 6th. on 60.50% |
 |
Judy Smith and Kaskadeur from
Victoria are pictured here at X. Kaz is by Kassiber from the mare - Kildares Game. The horse is owned by Mrs. Flora Morison who is a
great support to Judy's 'team'.
It was a very accurate test with no mistakes
- but a bit more forward would have given a lot more marks.
|
 |
Judy Smith and Kaskadeur - like
so many of Kassiber's progeny ... Kaskadeur has a wonderful trot. They scored 56.80
for 12th place. |
