Northern Warmblood Stud - Dispersal Sale

After 30 years in the performance horse breeding industry, Peter & Jan Powles (right) from the Northern Warmblood Stud are  retiring from commercial horse breeding.  Our change of direction will present an ideal opportunity for discerning buyers to purchase a near relative of some of Australia's most
successful advanced dressage horses. 

The founders and principles of the Northern Warmblood Stud have devoted a lifetime to producing horses with the movement and temperament that is necessary to meet the demands of modern dressage ... and the competition successes attest their sound judgement. 

Foundation mares have been assessed not only on pedigree, but for their potential to make positive contribution to an improved performance gene pool, to be passed on to future generations.  Jan and Peter confidently predict that a number of future state and national champions will come out of this sale and join the ranks of past and present champions bred by the stud.  We have included the photo gallery  pages to enable you to see some Northern bred horses competing.

At the time of their dispersal sale in January 2008, a number of the young horses were not quite ready for trialling by riders at all levels of capability.  Peter and Jan still have a number of young horses for sale and invite your enquiries direct to the stud.

Peter and Jan Powles are keen gardeners and very proud to see the result of many years of hard work in the beautiful trees and ornamental plants which enhance the outlook and provide tranquil environment.
