SSJC August 17th Results

SSJC jumps online!

Jumping at Clarendon on Sunday 17th August marked the first day of the jumping under the new online entries system. The consensus was that the new system was huge success, but SSJC Convenor Vicki Pepyat, urged riders to go to the website www.globalentriesonline.com and familiarise themselves with the registration requirements and closing date of entries for all future events to avoid disappointment.

There were large entries in all three rings, with competitors travelling from Canberra, Berry and Robertson in the South, Bathurst in the West and the Hunter Valley in the North. Judges were Lyn McLeod, Jenny Merity and Paul Tridgell, with courses being designed by Mark Atkins, David Lawrence and Paul Tridgell.

In the main ring local young rider Monique Barrett on her super pony Ginger Meggs won the 1.10m event, with Canberra visitor Rhys Stone winning the D Grade and the 1.20m event. Evergreen professional rider, Colleen Brook of Wilberforce won the feature event of the competition, the 1.30m event, riding Poets Corner.
