OXER BRINGS TO SPAIN THE GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR
Jan Tops and Álvaro Arrieta signed the agreement of acquisition of the rights for the organization of competitions scoring GCT until the year 2013. The competition will be formed of eight head offices in 2008, and ten in 2010 with the incorporation of United States and Spain.
16-12-07.- The negotiations began in October, and within the framework of the CSI 5* of A Coruña, OXER and the GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR (GCT) signed yesterday an agreement stating that OXER acquires exclusive rights in the organization of the competitions scoring for the GCT in Spain until the year 2013.
In June 2005 OXER signed in Cannes the official document of the Tour foundation. After the collaboration agreement signed in Paris on September between the FEI and GCT, represented by SAR la Princesa Haya and Jan Tops, the negotiations began with the intention to bring to Spain one stage of the Tour. Yesterday, the assignment of the contract by Álvaro Arrieta - OXER Chief Executive Officer- and Jan Tops - GCT President - was the final point of this large period of negotiations.
The assistants to the assignment were Carles Vilarrubí -OXER President-, Pablo García Piqueres -OXER General Manager- and Duarte Guedes -Member of the GCT Executive Comitee-.
The GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR 2008, once homologated by the FEI, becomes a circuit of eight CSI's 5* (one per country) and a Final Grand Prix worth one million dollars and another million dollars to the Tour winner.
The Edition 2008 will be constituted by the following shows:

In 2009 the head offices of the GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR will include competitions in the United States and, after yesterday's assignment, in Spain.
