Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010

World Games Foundation has new home
The World Games 2010 Foundation, Inc, which was established to plan organize and conduct the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, has a new home 2010 World Games Way as well as a new telephone number +1 859-255-2010 and a new nine-digit ZIP code (40511-2010).

The building housing the Games staff is a renovated barn on the old Spindletop property, off Iron Works Pike, is owned by the state and is being leased to the Foundation. It originally served as the office for the Council of State Governments when that group relocated to Lexington. The current Council office is adjacent to the barn.

We're delighted to be in our new office space, which will also provide us with a great venue for special events in the months and years leading up to the Games, said Jack Kelly, CEO of the Foundation. The space suits us perfectly at present, and also provides us with an opportunity to grow as necessary. Special thanks, for how we present ourselves, should be extended to Deirdre Lyons, Director of Corporate Image for Alltech, who dedicated a great deal of time and resources to make our space comfortable and in the right spirit and image.

The move-in has taken place, and a community Open House will be scheduled at some point in the near future. In addition to the offices the Games staff will utilize on the first floor, additional office space is available on the second floor to accommodate growth and for special purposes, such as to house some of the staff of Games partners and Games volunteers.

The 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, to be held at the Kentucky Horse Park, are the world championships of the eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), and are held every four years. The Games have never before been held outside of Europe; nor have all eight disciplines ever previously been held together at a single site both firsts that will be achieved at the Kentucky Horse Park. The 2010 Games are expected to have an economic impact, on Kentucky, of USD 150 million and it is anticipated that 500,000-600,000 tickets will be sold over the 16-day competition.

06/01/2007 - 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Adds Director of External Relations

The World Games 2010 Foundation announced that it has added Terry Johnson as its Director of External Relations. Johnson assumes the post after serving for two years as Executive Director of the Kentucky Sports Authority in Frankfurt. Mr. Johnson will be responsible for managing all community, organizational and public relations efforts of the Games.

We are very excited to add Terry to our staff, stated Jack Kelly, CEO of the World Games Foundation. There are hundreds of groups and communities that need to be integrated into the Games to maximize its impact on the Commonwealth. Terry has the background and experience to bring them together and to ensure as many Kentuckians as possible can be a part of this landmark event.

As awareness of the Games has grown, more and more communities have made inquiries as to how they might be a part of the Games, Kelly continued. We needed someone with Terry's knowledge of the event and of Kentucky to help make this happen.

In his role with the Sports Authority, Johnson helped create the first-ever statewide organization responsible for improving Kentucky's economy through the attraction of sports events. Mr. Johnson served on the Board of Directors of the World Games Foundation since the bid was awarded in 2005. He also served as Kentucky's Deputy Commissioner of Tourism, after spending the prior 12 years working in collegiate sports. He assumed the new role effective January 1, 2007.

I am very excited to join Jack and the rest of the staff of the Games, Johnson stated. The 2010 Games are an opportunity to create long-lasting effects for Kentucky. I am thrilled to be able to help make this happen.

Alltech's International Headquarters, Lexington, Kentucky (USA)
Alltech, the title sponsor of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010, is one of the worlds leading animal health companies. Since its inception in 1980, Alltech has been committed to providing natural, nutritional solutions to meet the challenges facing the animal feed industry. More than 25 years later, Alltech employees more than 1,800 people in 85 countries around the world.

From concept to customer, a company is only as strong as its weakest link, said Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder and president of Alltech. Alltech is committed to maintaining the integrity of each and every link so that customers can look to us for solutions.

One of Alltechs philosophies is, If you're not moving forward, you're moving backward. Through constant research, expanding production capacity, and refining marketing techniques, Alltech is an ever-evolving company that works hard to maintain its position in the feed industry.

Through its education programs, cutting-edge research priorities, dedication to customer service and in-depth knowledge of animal health issues, Alltech has become the world leader in natural animal nutrition. Alltech employs a marketing through education philosophy to give customers and potential customers all of the information on Alltech products so they can make an informed decision. The cornerstone of this effort is Alltechs International Feed Industry Symposium. Held annually in Lexington, Kentucky, the event draws 1,500-plus attendees from over 60 countries for three days of lectures and networking that are designed to make businesses more profitable.

Alltech produces an entire line of premium equine products such as Yea-Sacc®1026, a live yeast culture proven to enhance digestion and nutrient availability, and Sel-Plex®, an organic selenium that provides better exercise tolerance and an optimized immune system. Alltech's nutritional supplements are fed by equine industry leaders all over the world and backed by years of research and proven results.

To meet the ever-increasing demand for its yeast-based products, Alltech has stepped up production capacity around the world. Never is this more evident than in the new state-of-the-art yeast factory in Sao Pedro do Ivai, Brazil. The facility is one of the worlds largest yeast factories with a production capacity of approximately 60,000 tons of dried product per year.

Alltech has 14 production facilities around the world, allowing local production to reach all the countries in which it operates. This allows Alltech customers to expect a consistent product delivered to them in an efficient and timely manner.

In June 2006, Alltech became the first-ever title sponsor of the FEI World Equestrian Games. Its historic title sponsorship gave the company naming rights to the 2010 Games, now officially called the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010.

Alltech is about passion, performance, and excellence. These qualities are also found in the athletes that participate in the World Equestrian Games. Alltech is the perfect partner for the Games as we are truly a global company, representing many of the same countries that send athletes to compete in this worldwide competition, said Lyons.

Alltech's international headquarters are located in Nicholasville, Kentucky, just outside of Lexington. For more information visit, www.alltech.com
