The PSG was held in the beautifully appointed indoor arena which provides every comfort for competitors and spectators alike. It is a wonderful legacy to Australia hosting the 2000 Olympics, for up until that time, NSW conducted its major events at a venue which had been outgrown over time owing to the increase in the popularity of dressage.

It was a top line up of very experienced international judges who gave our up-and-coming FEI horses expert appraisal which the discerning trainer should take on board to help meet future objectives.

These included:

C Judge: Cara Whitham from Canada

B Judge: Mary Seefried from Queensland, Australia

E Judge: Jan Bird from New Zealand

H Judge: Joy Charlton from NSW, Australia

M Judge: Midori Furukawa

It was widely recognised when talking to people who watched the event that the standard in small tour horses has improved considerably. I bumped into Cara Whitham and she mentioned her visit to Australia pre-2000 Olympics and commented enthusiastically of the quality of horses and riders that she saw here today. It goes without saying that the top 10 were outstanding and are sure to be seen moving up the ranks and, perhaps in the future, will represent us at international events sometime in the future.

7^th Lyndal Oatley, Weltspiel - 63.30%

8^th Alex Berns, Jaybee Acrobat – 63.15%

9^th Heidi Gaian (USA), Sienna Tailor Made – 63.10%

10^th Lisa Martin, Rhythmic – 62.80%
