No.    Horse                        Rider 2nd Round Trot   Walk CanterSupp  GI   eoc Total Place

131 PSI De Caprio   Judy Dierks     7.9  7.5  8.0  8.0  8.5      7.98 1

PSI De Caprio is the current NSW Medium Horse of the Year.  Harry Boldt said, it was a very well presented horse with a swinging trot 7.9.  The walk could have covered more ground but good in regularity 7.5.  Canter 8.0.  Submission.  One change was late, but the horse was always on the aids.8.0.  General Impression and prospects for the future pleased the judges and they awarded 8.5.  A total of 7.98 takes PSI De Caprio from 3rd to first place.

139 Rodrigo III   Maree Tomkinson     7.7  6.7  8.2  7.7  8.3      7.72 2

Rodrigo lll.  Good trot work, but lost balance on circles – Harry felt that the horse overpowered a little.  The trot mark was 7.7.  The walk was clear, but the rider must be watchful of the rhythm. 6.7. The canter was very good and uphill – 8.2.  The submission mark came down as one change was not good. 7.7. The general impression and future prospect for dressage was awarded the mark of 8.3 making a total score of 7.72 and Rodrigo goes down from 1st to 2nd.

130 Yarramee Forever   Shane Davidson     7.5  8.0  7.7  7.4  7.6      7.64 3

Yarramee Forever.  The collected trot was good says Harry Boldt, but in the medium trot the horse needs more self carriage.  7.5.  The walk has a very good overtrack and the collected walk was also good 8.0.  A good canter with good ground covering, but the horse got ‘hot’ in the changes 7.7.  The horse got strong in the hand and this affected the submission mark – 7.4.  General Impression – a good type 7.6.  A total of 7.64 moves Yarramee Forever up from 5th position to 3rd at the end of the second round.

144 Tango V   Mary Hanna     7.2  6.6  7.8  7.6  7.7      7.38 4

Tango lV.   Harry Boldt said that the trot was very powerful but hind legs should b more under 7.2.  The walk was not ground covering enough for these judges 6.6.  The canter had good ground cover 7.8.  The submission mark was 7.6 and Harry said there were some problems.
General Impression.  Elegant horse good potential 7.7.  A score of 7.38 sees Tango remain in 4th place.

148 Let's Imagine   Lizzie Wilson-Fellows     7.6  7.1  7.7  6.6  7.2      7.24 5

Let’s Imagine.  Harry Boldt said… we saw a horse with a nice swinging trot, the medium trot was really ground covering. 7.8.  For the walk 7.1.  The canter was uphill but the changes were not through 7.7.  Although the horse was submissive in the changes, the horse dropped out of the canter and this affected the submission mark 6.6.  The general impression and future potential scored 7.2 and the total marks were 7.24 moving the bay mare up from 7th place to 5th.

137 DvZ Faroche   Susan Page     7.0  7.6  7.2  6.5  7.5      7.16 6

DvZ Farouche.  Harry Boldt said that this was a nice type of horse but the judges felt that more impulsion was needed in the working trot … careful with the medium trot he warned 7.0 for trot.  The collected walk was very good and helped to get the mark of 7.6.  The canter needs more uphill and power 7.2.  He commented that the changes are not yet as we would like to see and this affected the submission mark – 6.9.  General impression - She is a nice type 7.5.  The total score was 7.16 and they remain in 6th place.

147 Fibonacci   Sally Latona    7.5  7.0  7.4  6.2  7.3      7.08 7

Fibonacci.  Harry Boldt said that the horse needs more energy in the trot work and the score for trot is 7.5.  The walk was clear 4 beat but not enough ground covering 7.0.  The canter needed more ground covering also and the score was 7.4.  Harry felt that the problems in the canter depart were related to submission, as were the mistakes in the walk pirouettes and the flying changes.  The submission mark was 6.2.  General Impression and potential was marked at 7.3 giving a total second round score of 7.08 and they slide down from 2nd place to 7th.

133 Heatherton Park Welcome   Tristan Tucker     7.0  7.2  6.8  6.4  7.0      6.88    8

Heatherton Park Welcome.  Harry Boldt again was the spokes person for the judging panel and he said that the horse was tense and short in the neck and the rider should not over pace the medium trot which was hurried … be careful.  The trot mark was 7.0.  The walk was not bad but it was not relaxed 7.2.  The canter was tense and the horse was very short in the neck.  The changes were OK but the rider must relax the canter 6.8.  The mark for suppleness was 6.4 and the general impression mark was 7.0 giving an overall score of 6.88.  HP Welcome moved up from 10th place to 8th.

136 Flowervale Ferro Two   Monica Bird     6.7  6.5  6.8  6.0  6.6      6.52 9

Flowervale Ferro Two.  Harry Boldt said that the rider needs to relax, she is pushing the horse too much and he is becoming short in the neck and running.  Let the trot swing 6.7.
The walk mark was 6.5 and the comment was that the horse needs more overtrack in medium walk and he lost the regularity of the walk in the walk pirouettes.  The canter was pushed and hurried 6.8.  The submission mark was 6.0.   3 changes were faulty as the rider was blocking with the inside hand.  The general impression mark … Harry said, "at the moment we can award 6.6".  This made a total of 6.52 and they remain in 9th position on both days.

135 Monica Lewinsky W   Laura Stigler               6.4  7.0  6.7  5.8  6.4      6.46 10

Monica Lewinsky.  Harry Boldt said that the collected trot did not have enough swing and the medium trot was hurried. 6.4 for trot.  The medium walk was OK in regularity, but between the pirouettes the rhythm was faulty. 7.0.  The canter was on the forehand and did now show enough self carriage.  The flying changes showed tension. 6.7.  Submission – the losses were to do with tension 5.8.  The general impression mark was 6.4 and the judges felt that more engagement was needed and that the horse became very strong in the hand.  The total score was 6.46 and she finished in 10th position – down from 8th.
