Dr. Barnabas Mandi (Hungary) Dr. Mandi MD PhD was born in Debrecen. Hungary and is married with one son. He is an associate professor for Immunology and Pathophysiology at the University Medical School of Debrecen, Hungary. Since 1976 Dr. Mandi has been a national judge for dressage and showjumping. After a two year period as an International Candidate Judge he became an International Judge for Dressage in 1989. Among others he was a member of the Ground Jury at two European Championships for Young Riders (Kaposvar Hungary and Spangenberg, Germany), as well as at fourteen Volvo World Cup Qualifying competitions. He has judged at fifteen European and overseas countries and has attended many seminars organised by rhe FEI for the International Dressage Judges. He is a member of the International Dressage Judges Club. As well as dressage, he is an International Judge for Showjumping. Dr. Mandi has judged the SAMSUNG International Australian Dressage Final on two previous occasions. In 1994 in Sydney at Clarendon with Mr. Rolf Beutler-Bath from Germany, and at Werribee Park, Victoria in October 1995 with Dr. Wojoiech Markowski from Poland.
Mr. Uwe Spenlen (Germany) With a commercial background in design, advertising and communications, Mr. Uwe Spenlens hobby of horses and riding has led him to an international career as a National Judge in dressage, showjumping and three day eventing. Since 1990, Uwe has been an International Judge in dressage with experiences in Great Britain, Austria, Canada, Belguim, Mexico and Australia. He has officiated at the FEI/Samsung in South America, Holland, Luxembourg and the final selection for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In Germany Uwe has judged at many of the top events such as Aachen, Munich CDI and the Berlin European Championships as well as being the Event Director for the Parkfestival Dressage International in Bad Honnef. Married with two children, Uwe has now been to Australia on many occasions including the 1997 and 1999 diana Ferrari Victorian Dressage Championships. He also judged the 1999 VDC Medium Video competition (from Germany the tests were recorded and went to Mr. Spinel to judge). Earlier this year Uwe Spenlen held clinics in several States before going to the Olympic Games. |
