Above - Grace McOhl a beautiful moving mare by Kilof McOhl.   She is owned and shown by Jason York and Chris Ardron from CJ Warmblood Stud in Lancefield.  Chris and Jason have become very interested in putting the best quality warmblood mares to the most respected international stallions, using frozen semen technology.  With mares of this quality and stallions like Weltmeyer - it is sure to be a winning philosophy.

scubacan3.jpg (14397 bytes) While this mare owned and shown by Wendy Ansell
from Coldstream Park Warmblood Stud
was the only entry in the TB Broodmares with foal at foot class, it is interesting to note that  many of the previous quality exhibits were from throroughbred (xx) mares,
and this highlights the role that quality thoroughbreds
have played in the breeding of performance horses.

Many of the top international performance horses
are seen to be warmbloods, but a closer inspection of their pedigree will reveal the content of thoroughbred blood (which is often very high).
The practise of classification ensures that we only
breed to suitable types, with movement,
temperament and conformation.
