Saturday evening, the 30th of June, saw the completion of Round II of the Forest Park Winter Indoor Show Jumping Competition

Fifty-six showjumping rounds were conducted on the night, much to the delight of the considerable crowd of onlookers and supporters. Even Canberra’s frosty winter nights have failed to dampen the enthusiasm of riders and enthusiasts, as this competition continues to grow in popularity with each passing year. This reflects both the excellent management of the event by Grant & Heather Hughes, managers of the Forest Park Riding School at Curtin, and their terrific staff, and also the ongoing support and sponsorship from MITAVITE HORSE FEED, HORSELAND CANBERRA and CANBERRA EQUESTRIAN EQUIPMENT & COMPETITIONS. All the competitors and supporters of showjumping at Forest Park are extremely grateful for the continuing participation of these companies, who ensure that riders have plenty to compete for.

With the final round of the competition on the 21st of July, magnificent trophies and rugs are up for grabs in the two height categories (95cm and under and 95cm and above). Competitors should be aware that they must compete in the final round on 21 July to be eligible for prizes in the overall point score.
