Equinology Inc. returns to Australia again
this year to offer two new courses in addition to those being offered since 1994. Prominent international instructors will head
important topics in horse health care. All these courses have hours of hands-on practicals
and have limited enrollment to insure individual attention.

Dr. Barb Crabbe
|
Dr. Barb Crabbe,
DVM, a contributing editor to Horse and Rider Magazine and a frequent
contributor and member of the advisory board for the Dressage Today Magazine,
will present her popular five day EQ300/600 course: Biomechanics, Applied Anatomy and Gait Abnormalities
in Holt, ACT at Pegasus Farms in February 2003. Her articles have won numerous American
Horse Publication awards. Dr. Crabbe is an avid Dressage rider and competitor, a graduate
with distinction from the USDF-L judges program, and serves on the Oregon Dressage Society
Board of Directors. She operates her own private equine practice in Portland, with an
emphasis on performance horses. Her primary area of interest is in the area of equine
lameness and gait analysis which she conveys brilliantly in this course.

Dr. Kerry Ridgway

Dr. Kerry Ridgway,
well known to many Australians, will present his four day course EQ700/1000: Saddle
fitting and the Principles of Farrier Science.
The majority of this course will be aimed at solving saddle fitting issues,
recognizing problems, making templates for saddles in addition to the physical and
behavioral consequences of poor saddle fit. This course will be held in November of 2003
in West Australia. The location will be announced in January. |
Dr. Kerry Ridgway's varieties of
alternative modalities such as acupuncture, chiropractic medicine, and kinesiology have
made him a household name with horse owners. Dr. Kerry J. Ridgway is internationally
recognized in his 30 year background in endurance, competitive riding and equine sports
medicine. He was a founding member of the International "Association for Equine
Sports Medicine," and served many years as the chairman of the American Veterinarian
Advisory Committee for the American Endurance Ride Conference. He is certified in animal
chiropractic by the "American Veterinary Chiropractic Association" and is
certified in acupuncture by the "Veterinary Acupuncture Society," and is a
lecturer for the course offered to veterinarians.
Finally, Debranne Pattillo
(McDaniel) returns for the 8th year to present the Equinology Inc® EQ100: Foundation
Massage Certification course, EQ103: Advanced
Massage Techniques and Review, and EQ400: Stretching
and Neuromuscular Re-education. The foundation and stretching courses are
scheduled on both the west and east coasts. The Advanced course will be held only on the
west coast for 2003. The complete schedule follows this release.

Debranne Pattillo, AEBW is
the president and founder of Equinology, INC ®. The
majority of her time is spent on the road teaching in the USA, Australia, England, and
Canada on a regular basis and courses are expanding to Italy and Brazil for 2003.
Equinology has two sister companies, Equinology UK also known as Equinenergy and
Equinology Canada known as Equine Body Works. Equinology is recognized by the
International Massage Association. Students attending UKs McTimineony Animal
Chiropractic School received school credit. Courses are recognized and accredited by the
USDF University. |
Debranne holds a state certificate and is
an authorized instructor in equine massage, therapeutic massage, equine science, equine
management and anatomy. Certificate number: NHAK-59WLYX2002. Shes collected numerous
certificates in a variety of complementary therapies. This year she was showcased on the
UKs BBC. Shes been featured by international media in publications such as
UKs Horse and Hound, UKs Practical Horseman, Australias Endurance
Magazine and various regional newspapers as well as web sites.
Equinology Productions is currently working
on five videos for massage and anatomy, four of which will be released March of 2003.
