Ebony developed her taste
for success at an early age!

Most embarassing equine moment? Being bucked off in the dressage warm up at Yerringberg 2002 – it would seem it’s a good idea to think ahead and let your horse get used to having it's tail plaited before you arrive at the competition!
Favourite horse/horses and why? Pure Luck (Joss) My mum bought her as a 3 year old for me, she was just broken in. Didn’t start eventing until she was 9, she won her first Class and was pointed intermediate in her first season of competition. Never had a stop cross country and reached advanced level of competition before she was retired to breed CHAMPIONS!!!!!
Who has inspired you the most and why? My uncle Bert, he believed in me and my ability to train horses, and continued to give me lessons whilst on a respirator with cancer until two weeks before he died.
Who do you train with now? Ron Paterson

Short Term Dreams and Plans  To train horses to a level and sell them and make LOTS of money
Long Term Dreams and Plans After I have made my FORTUNE, set my self up with 2 or 3 good horses and see what happens!
Advice for aspiring eventers Believe in your self, listen and learn as much as you can, but at the end of the day do what you think is right, you have to live with your self if you go against you gut feeling and something goes wrong. Having said that be sensible in your decisions!  Oh yeah! don’t take things too seriously – you’ll get an ulcer!
