did an excellent dressage test on Frederick Hunter scoring
37.80. Jessica Irvine-Brown, Belcam Aberdeen, Wendy Schaeffer, Koyuna
Sun-Glo and Megan Jones on Kirby Park Irish Hallmark all scored below
50, with Stuart Tinney on Ava and Wendy Schaeffer on her second horse
Riverside Othello and Claudia Graham on Diamond B Vogue just out of the
sub 50's on 51.4, 50.4 and 51.4.
The dressage was conducted in the indoor arena which looked absolutely
fabulous, thanks to donations from our sponsors including 2GB, NSW
Institute of Sport, Department Of Sport and Recreation, Horse Deals,
Nature Vet, Gow-Gates Rural Insurance Brokers, Mitavite and the EFA.
Those indulging at the VIP Marquee had the opportunity to listen to
expert comments by well known Dressage rider and judge Roger
Fitzharding's. Roger explained some of the more intricate details of
dressage to the audience as well as sharing his views on the quality of
the test. Cross Country guided tours were also conducted by Gill Rolton
and Craig Barrett.
Cross Country day - saw the front runners maintaining their position
with all seven completing the course in style - clear and under time
except Wendy Schaeffer's Riverside Othello who was withdrawn after the
Dressage. The first water proved to be a challenge for the less
experienced in the field.
Emily Anker (Balmoral Cavalier), Karen Foster (Lexon), Nicholas Roe
(King George) and Ryan Wood (Wonder) all moved up the placings as a
result of their excellent clear rounds.
The Final Horse Inspection kicks off at 10.00 am. As a warm up to the
last phase of the three day event a Junior Riders will be competing in a
AM3 Show Jumping Competition at 11.30 with the jumping kicking off final
test for the CCI** at 1.30 pm in the Indoor Arena.
