EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION OF AUSTRALIA - APPOINTS NEW CEO

The Chairman of the EFA, Wayne Roycroft, announced today that the new CEO of the organisation is Ms Ellen Edmonds-Wilson. Ellen will start in the position on Monday March 19, in the National Office which is located in Adelaide.

Ellen has 14 years of association management experience. For the past 2 years she has been running her own association management consultancy firm, with the Institute of Company Secretaries as her major client. Whilst doing this she has been studying her MBA at Adelaide University and is nearly finished. Ellen has worked with a broad range of associations during the many years she worked for the SA Chamber of Commerce, and estimates that she has worked with over 40 different chairmen and 15 associations over the years.

Marketing and business development have been the major focus of her previous roles, but she has also represented the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on national committees, and developed training programs which have been implemented nationally.

She is open about her lack of knowledge of horses - which is largely limited to Nipper, Nimble and merry-go-rounds! She is, however, very keen to learn, and recognises that everyone knows more than she does about the EFA and horses! Ellen is very enthusiastic about the future ahead of her, and looks forward to meeting everyone on March 19th.

Everyone at the EFA welcomes Ellen to the job!
