New Date for Adelaide International Horse Trials 2001 |
Following the SA State Governments
cancellation of the Le Mans car race in December 2001, the Adelaide International Horse
Trials Organising Committee had the opportunity to reconsider a November date. November
has always been the preferred month for the event, with the first two weekends being
ideal. Today the OC, in conjunction with funding body Australian Major Events, decided to
seize this opportunity, and reschedule the event for November 1 - 4 this year. With this years event also being the venue for the Trans Tasman Championships, the New Zealand Equestrian Federation has expressed their delight at this date change, as they will have an additional month to get ready for the first Trans Tasman to be held at **** level. While the change from November to October inevitably caused some disruption, as lead-up events also had to reschedule, the EFA agrees with the OC that changing back to the preferred November date is still in the best interests of riders and horses.
