The Australian Eventing Squad will be
entering its 4 day Training Camp for the Adelaide International Horse Trials on the
weekend of 27 October 2001. The squad includes:
Amanda Ross - who was an individual rider at the
Sydney Games
Olivia Bunn - who was the first reserve at the Games
and is riding GV Top of the Line
David Middleton the defending Adelaide
CCI**** winner from last year
The squad also includes some new and exciting young riders
Sammi McLeod and Sam Lyle who placed first and second at
Werribee.
Megan Jones, who placed second at Adelaide CCI****
and Tarsha Hammond are also competing. Tarshas horse, Fuzzy Logic, is poised
for a major performance.
The squad will be training for 4 days under the
watchful gaze of Wayne Roycroft, the coach with Heath Ryan as his assistant , with the
team being finally announced after the first trot up. Australia has never won the Trans
Tasman, but this time stands a very good chance with the high quality riders and the
calibre of team.
