18/10/01 Australian Squad Announced for Mitsubishi Adelaide International Horse Trials

The Australian Eventing Squad will be entering its 4 day Training Camp for the Adelaide International Horse Trials on the weekend of 27 October 2001.

The squad includes:

Amanda Ross - who was an individual rider at the Sydney Games

Olivia Bunn - who was the first reserve at the Games and is riding GV Top of the Line

David Middleton – the defending Adelaide CCI**** winner from last year

The squad also includes some new and exciting young riders – Sammi McLeod and Sam Lyle – who placed first and second at Werribee.

Megan Jones, who placed second at Adelaide CCI**** and Tarsha Hammond are also competing. Tarsha’s horse, Fuzzy Logic, is poised for a major performance.

The squad will be training for 4 days under the watchful gaze of Wayne Roycroft, the coach with Heath Ryan as his assistant , with the team being finally announced after the first trot up. Australia has never won the Trans Tasman, but this time stands a very good chance with the high quality riders and the calibre of team.
