Following the ABC’s coverage of the prestigious Adelaide International Horse Trials which was so well received both inside and outside the Equestrian community, the ABC is covering the 2001 Melbourne International Three Day Event.

Hosted by Dual Olympic Gold Medallist, Gillian Rolton and ABC Radio’s Peter Walsh, the ABC program will be shown on Saturday July 7^th at 1.00pm (Vic/Tas/Qld/WA), 1.30pm (SA/NT) 2pm (NSW).

The ABC’s coverage of the Melbourne International Three Day Event will showcase the riders and examine the demanding preparation and hard work that competitors endure in the lead up to, and during competition.

The program will make the sport of Eventing more accessible to a broader audience, whilst educating the public in their perception of sport – this is not an elitist sport but one where hard work, drive and willpower are the determining factors.

Plus there’s coverage of the competition itself to see who will take out the 44^th annual staging of the Werribee Event.
