A knock on the door this Sunday afternoon may
reveal more than one Melbourne family bargained for. Kerri-Anne Kennerley, the host of the
new game show "Moment of Truth" and her crew will front up to the family's home
on Sunday, June 3, to inform them of the challenge they must face. Tackling the obstacles
at the Melbourne International Horse Trials (7 11 June) can be a daunting task for
Australia's best event riders so the news that this is the set challenge for the game show
contestant, who has never ridden a horse before, is sure to be met with certain
trepidation. The look on the contestant's face is sure to be expressive! Each week three families get the chance to win their dream prize
from the Moment of Truth website. Each member of the family picks a prize that they most
want. However, to earn the prize, one family member has to perform a difficult challenge.
This person is given seven days to practice the challenge and then face their Moment of
Truth.
Before 3pm on Sunday, the family from Melbourne's inner
west have no idea that the week's challenge will be to learn how to ride a Three Day Event
horse and then clear some obstacles at the Melbourne International Horse Trials. Luckily,
help is at hand as Olympic showjumper, Vicky Roycroft will be training the contestant for
an hour each day leading up to the challenge.
This "Moment of Truth" challenge will be filmed
on Saturday, June 9 at 3pm during the Melbourne International Three Day Event. Olympic
Gold Medallists, event spectators and host Kerri-Anne Kennerley will join the Melbourne
family cheering the brave contestant on as he tackles water jumps, ditches and other
intimidating obstacles and faces his "moment of truth".
