FARNAM^® WORMA & BOT™

ANTHELMINTIC PASTE WITH BOTICIDE FOR HORSES

  FARNAM^® WORMA & BOT™   is the big gun against bots and combines a highly affective anthelmintic and boticide in the one formulation.

FARNAM^® WORMA & BOT™ should only be administered when some feed has been consumed, to control bot fly larvae attached to the stomach wall as well as large strongylesroundworms, stomach worms and pinworms.

ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS:   Each gram contains:
OXFENDAZOLE  28.4 mg            TRICHLORFON  454.4 mg

PROPERTIES:  
Oral anthelmintic containing a broad-spectrum anthelmintic plus trichlorfon for the control of bots.

CONTROLS:

• mature large strongyles (Strongylus vulgaris, s.edentatus, S equinus)
• susceptible small strongyles (Cyathostomum)
• mature & immature roundworms (Parascaris equorum)
• stomach hair worm (trichostrongylus axei)
• pinworm (Oxyuris equi)
• bots (Gasterophilus spp.) - stomach and migratory tissue stages

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:

• For best results, administer Worma & Bot after feeding.
• Ensure syringe is placed on the back of the horse's tongue, not between the teeth and cheek.  Keep horse's mouth shut until swallowed.
• Use Worma & Bot Paste during periods when bot flies are inactive and larvae are in the stomach i.e. late autumn/winter.   Administer at least twice,  6 weeks apart to break the bot fly life cycle.
• A 40g syringe contains sufficient Worma & Bot Paste to treat a 450 kg Horse.

NOTE:

• Always administer the correct dose (based on bodyweight)
• Do not treat horses on an empty stomach, mares in the final month of pregnancy, or foals less than one week old.
• Avoid treating horses with mouth abrasions.
• Always take care when handling sick, debilated or pregnant animals.
• Ideally, Worma & Bot Paste should be used as an integral part of a worm control program which includes testing for worm burdens and drench resistance.
• Treating visiting and new horses before introduction to pasture.

CAUTION:  Not for use in animals producing food for human consumption.

MEAT WITHHOLDING PERIOD:   Do not administer later than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
