Berni mostly focuses on Boston's dressage career, and he is now (as an 8 yo) graded Prix St. George with almost 300 points.. Berni has been recognised with a place on the Victorian Dressage Squad.
This squad is made up of the top ten horse and rider combinations in the state, and is based on performances as assessed by the State Dressage Selectors. Berni hopes to continually improve Boston's work, and go on to win at the top competitions. This success is the criteria for inclusion on the National Elite Dressage Squad, which supports Australia's best horses and riders with training to help them to be selected for the Olympics Games, or other International Dressage events..

Boston, is one of the first of a new breed of performance horse, being half warmblood, quarter Arabian and quarter throughbred. Boston epitomises the best of each breed, with great intelligence, wonderful movement and excellent conformation. He is very energetic and eager to please, which makes him a delight to ride and train.
Boston is such a good example of his breed that he has been successful in two breed classeson several occasions winning - Champion part bred Arabian and Champion Warmblood at the prestigious Melbourne Royal Show for 4 years in a row. He has also been Champion Warmblood at Barastoc Horse of the Year Show and the 1997 Australian National Champion Arabian Warmblood Exhibit with the Arabian Horse Society.

Boston is pictured here at the 1997 Royal Melbourne Summer Horse Show. In this competition, he was Champion Led Part-Bred Arabian, Champion Ridden Part-Bred Arabian and Champion Ridden Warmblood.

Boston has now established himself as a 'dressage star'. He was the 1998 VDC Medium horse of the year, and in mid 1998 had his first start at Prix St. George. Boston has a wonderful piaffe/passage and is now working on the sequence changes. We hope to start at Grand Prix by the end of 1999.
Berni and Boston are on the Victorian Dressage Squad.

Equitana Asia Pacific
November 19th & 20th 1999
in the Dressage Event.

STOP PRESS!! For the FIFTH consequetive year, Hollybrook Boston was the Champion Ridden Part Bred & Arabian Warmblood at the 1999 Royal Melbourne Summer Show. He also earned a first place in the Warmblood ring.
