Sydney International 3 DE - Event Preview, Lots to See!

Free demonstrations of horse handling
at the Sydney ThreeDay Event  ... by James Meurer!

James Meurer (pictured right) is an expert at horse communication, horsemanship training and helping owners to develop a willing partnership with their horse. His methods are based on humane principles and are effective because they are formed by understanding the horse’s language and psychology.

James grew up working with horses on his family’s property in southern New South Wales. As a child he discovered a passion for communicating with horses and through his curiosity he taught himself good horsemanship.

James has worked alongside Rob Horne at Gai Waterhouse’s Randwick stables. While working for Gai, James would join Monty Roberts on his Australian tours and was instrumental in having stock whips banned from behind the race barriers. James was asked by Monty to ‘shadow’ him around the world. James spent a year travelling extensively throughout the U.S, Europe and the UK with him. When not on tour James lived at Monty’s property and helped run the racing stable, the Western riding stable and the training school.

James has held a number of clinics around NSW and Victoria. These clinics cover many aspects of horsemanship, from the ground through to the saddle. At present James is solely dedicated to Meurer Horsemanship. In addition to hands on clinics, lessons and demonstrations, James has teamed up with film producer Andrew Forsyth at Pemberton Productions to produce horse training DVDs that promote safety, competence and fun. James’s first DVD, “Float Loading with James Meurer” shows how float loading problems can be overcome through some simple communication techniques, taking the viewer through a step by step process which allows horse and rider to work together in a willing, non confrontational manner.

“James is a most talented horseman – as you will see in the video he knows his stuff. There is none better at handling or managing a difficult horse” ‐ Gai Waterhouse

"James is a truly gifted horseman who provides an incredible insight into how we should all interact with our horses. Whether your passion is the Pony Club, Eventing, Thoroughbred racing or purely recreational riding, this DVD is a must for anyone handling horses" ‐ Simon Poidevin

James wants to share his passion for horses so that everyone can have as much fun with their horses as he does with his. He will be giving FREE horse handling demonstrations at the Sydney International Three Day Event ‐ just behind the shopping village ‐ from Friday through to Sunday during competition breaks. He will be available at the Merchandise Tent through out the event to answer all your questions and sign your DVD.
