On Thursday the show opened with the Grand Prix Dressage. Hubertus and Hinnerk, the 10 year old chestnut Trakehner gelding by Buddenbrock were the best of the 13 pairs starting and took the lead with a score of 70.340% This combination of Holger Schmezer’s horse ‘Hinnerk’ and Hubertus is a relatively new combination having only been together for 5 weeks, but one that has already proved a successful move. Providing Hubertus with a Grand Prix horse that will most definitely help with the German teams lack of top Grand Prix horse and rider combinations at the moment.
On day two of the competition in Munster, Hubertus had his second win, this time together with his up and coming Grand Prix star Donnelly. Donnelly, the 8 year old chestnut Westphalen gelding proved his worth in the last Medien Cup test before the Grand Final tomorrow morning. Together Hubertus and Donnelly beat the other 11 competitors with a score of 72.950%
For those interested in how our Aussie jumper is going so far at the show… in his first class he was 6th and 20th out of the 54 starters in the competition.
