All of a Sudden Megan Can't be Beaten

All of a sudden Megan can't be beaten

Megan Jones continued her winning streak at the Melbourne International Three-Day Event CCI 3* over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

Riding Kirby Park Allofasudden Megan surpassed the leader of the class, Christopher Burton on Holstein Park Leilani in the final phase of the competition. Christopher had three rails down in the show jumping enabling Megan who finished on her dressage score to take the victory. Christopher finished in sixth place.

"He felt like a mature and confident horse who really knew his job," said Megan referring to her 8-year-old mount Kirby Park Allofoasudden.

This year Megan has also won the two HSBC FEI World Cup qualifier competitions held in the Southern Hemisphere on her Olympic horse Kirby Park Irish Jester.

"It is nice to know that my second string horse is so competitive," said Megan who has now established that she rides two of the top horses in the country.

2000 Olympic Gold Medallist Stuart Tinney finished second riding the much less experienced Watermark Grayson. In his first CCI3* Watermark Grayson exceeded Stuart's expectations, "he was better in all three phases than I expected, he did his best-ever dressage test and was great cross-country and in the show jumping," said Stuart.

The winners of the other classes were as follows:

CCI2* Victoria Luxford (NSW) and Perfect Encounter

CCI1* Katja Weimann (Vic) and Pluto Mio

CCI1J* Bonnie Price (Qld) and River Range Coppergate
