This inaugural sale will be a “black tie” event held from 5pm on Saturday 15th August 2009, with viewing and trialling taking place two days prior on the 13th and 14th August, at the nearby Gold Coast Polo Club grounds. Markirs Heritage is an Anglo Arabian by Markir out of Regal Heritage, all grand parents were imported from the United States or Ireland. He is 15.1hh and was foaled on 04/10/06.
Markir’s Heritage made a grand entrance to his show career being awarded Reserve Australian National Anglo Arabian Champion in his first year of showing. He is 2009 Reserve Victorian Anglo Arabian Champion, Champion of Champions at the 2009 East Coast Arabian Championships and Champion Anglo Arab at the Queensland Arabian Gala and many more likewise achievements. This colt is always placed champion or Reserve Champion - he is a world class horse.
Heritage stands 15.1hh and with the exceptional temperament of his sire Markir, this outstanding colt has been acclaimed by both Australian and International Judges alike. The Canadian judge at the Queensland Arabian Gala said ‘this is the best Anglo Arabian I have seen in the world’.
His first judge, Colleen Rutherford said of him as a weanling ‘this is the epitome of what an anglo Arabian should look like.’
