Prydes Achievers - Edenhope Pharoah Steps Out At The AWHA Gala Day
On Sunday 19th March 2006 I spent a lovely day taking pictures at the AWHA (Vic. Branch) Gala Day. It was an absolute treat to see so many beautiful horses, so well prepared.

Being a fan of Warmbloods ... with a 'smidge' of Arabian blood, I was very taken with the pretty young stallion, Edenhope Pharoah. The compact grey represents the ideal type of 'all-round' riding horse and I asked his handler to tell me a little bit about him.

David Grant told me that he is the Yearling Manager at the beautiful Thoroughbred stud Eliza Park which is situated in Kerrie (near Romsey). He said that they (Ms Antonia Graefin Deym and David) had only had the horse for 8 weeks and that they were delighted to have got him out competing so quickly.

"We came across him through a friend who knows the breeder (Edenhope Stud). He was just in the paddock not doing anything and when Antonia and I saw him we fell in love with him and had to have him."

I asked if there were any trade secrets and David said, "After seeing what a terrific job the Prydes Easiprep concentrate does on our yearlings, particularly the more backward ones, I put him on it straight away as a base feed. I also feed him the Prydes Protein-Pak (soy meal which I find excellent for putting on condition) and he also gets half a cup of the Prydes Easioil which is without a doubt the best canola oil I have used. The improvement in him in this short time has been amazing!"

"Because of his great temperament we plan to keep him entire and hopefully breed with him one day. He will be broken-in within the next couple of months. Until then we hope to get him to a few more 'in-hand' shows - for the experience. Eventually we plan to jump him. " David wrote.

I asked David if he would mind me sharing his story with you and he sent me the before picture which certainly speaks volumes about the job done by good care, preparation and excellent nutrition which helps all horses look and feel their best.
