Before the racing commenced
there was a display of Standardbreds who have excelled in the showring.
Most had raced successfully before retiring and turning to a second
career. |

Race 1 - Tooheys New Pace |
|
Nicky Anvil led clearly over
Baron Land with Franco Liberty well back early. Turning for home
on the first lap Franco Liberty moved up to be second on the outside of
Nicky Anvil. Little changed until they straightened where Franco
Liberty joined Nicky Anvil who fought back but Franco Liberty was too
good winning easily with Ndizani third. |

Race 2 - Inter Dominion Pacing
Championship Heat 7 |

Winforu went straight to the
lead from Be Good Johnny then Make Me Smile third on the inside and
Robin Hood one off the rail in fifth. Around the home turn Be Good
Johnny challenged Winforu who fought back with Robin Hood three wide
making his run. It was a two horse war down the straight with
Winforu answering all challenges from Be Good Johnny to win narrowly
with Make Me Smile third. |

Race 3 - Inter Dominion Pacing

Franco
Heir led Smooth Crusa with Tribute wide. Down the back straight
the first time Franco Heir led Conte De Cristo with Tribute fourth.
Into the final lap Franco Heir led Conte De Cristo with Sir Galvinator
three wide. Around the home turn Franco Heir led Sir Galvinator
with Poppys Boy waiting for the sprint lane as Tributes went four wide
and Toe Taper five wide. Franco Heir had too much in hand holding
on to win from Poppys Boy with Smooth Crusa third. |

Race 4 - Inter Dominion Trotting

Blown
Budget led early but was joined by Contessa Hest in the first lap with A
Touch of Flair at the rear of the pack. With a lap left Countess
Hest led Glenbogle narrowly as A Touch of Flair took off around the
field. Glenbogle hit the lead down the back but A Touch of Flair
cruised up in the home straight to come away for an easy win with
Jauriol third. |

Race 5 - Inter Dominion Pacing

Blacks a
Fake led from the start from Braeside Seel Star. With a lap to go
Blacks A Fake led Foreal then Reba Rajah. Foreal joined Black a
Fake around the turn but Blacks a Fake soon sprinted clear going on to
win easily from Reba Rajah with Foreal third. |

Race 6 - Group 1

Military led with Saved a
Corka third along the inside. Little changed until the last lap
where Military led turning for home as Saved a Corka changed course to
the outside and started to charge home. Military looked to have
the race but Saved a Corked lunged on the line to win narrowly with a
gap to As I Say third. |

Race 7 - Inter

Back
Beyond led with Whatsundermykilt 30 metres away near the tail early.
With two laps to go Backa Beyond led Flying Hardwick with
Whatsundermykilt still well back. In the last lap along the back
straight Backa Beyond was challenged by Flying Hardwick with
Whatsundermykilt trying to find a clear path between runners. In
the home straight Flying Hardwick skipped away in front but
Whatsundermykilt started to storm home down the outside grabbing victory
in a photo finish. Viva la Fever also finished hard from well back
to run third. |

Youwantsauce went to the front early and led throughout to win with ease
from Unique Style with Votemdry third. |
